Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida with over 20 years of clinical social work experience working with individuals in grief and loss, anxiety and depression, substance abuse and addiction, trauma, and life changing situations.
We all have losses and disappointments that are difficult to think or talk about. These often return over and over, haunting us in our present lives. Instead of escaping those experiences, they reappear in many unexpected places, intruding on our best laid plans. When we can reflect on, and talk about the experiences and the shame and guilt so often associated with them, we are better able to understand and make sense of the patterns that plague us. There can be a new-found freedom in recognizing our attachment to the needs and desires of those we felt compelled to please and to save. And in becoming afraid of our own minds we can forge a more conscious and hopeful path.
It is my belief that the more one's difficult emotional experiences can be expressed and talked through together, in a safe and engaging environment, the more helpful the therapeutic process can be. I assist clients who are facing a wide range of issues including grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, vocational discernment, and spiritual concerns, in taking steps to live more satisfying lives.
My therapeutic approach addresses the uniqueness of the person and issues presented and on helping clients to expand their awareness of self and interactions with others. I also encourage exploration of experiences and emotions that provide valuable information about unsatisfying patterns and behaviors.
My background in grief and loss work informs much of my work pertaining to life transitions, career changes, divorce, loss of a loved one, etc.
